Dr. Giora Yaron

Independent Director and Co-founder

Giora Yaron is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded a group of International based startups with primary focus on Data center virtualization and communication networks.

Dr. Yaron has co-founded multiple startups: P-cube, (acquired by Cisco), PentaCom (acquired by Cisco), Qumranet (acquired by Redhat), Comsys (acquired by Conexant, Texas Instruments) and Itamar Medical Ltd. Dr. Yaron has been serving as board member and/or Chairman of the Boards of these companies since their inception. Dr. Yaron served as Chairman of the Board of Mercury Interactive sold to HP for $4.9B. Currently serves on the board of Amdocs (DOX) and the advisory board of Raphael. Dr Yaron serves as Chairman of the Executive Council of Tel Aviv University and on the Board of Governors of the Hebrew University. From 1992-1995 Dr. Yaron has served as President of Indigo NV, leading the company to an NASDAQ IPO exceeding $1B in market capitalization. Prior to joining Indigo served as corporate Vice President of National Semiconductor. Dr. Yaron holds a Ph.D. in Device Physics from the Hebrew University, has published over twenty scientific papers and holds six patents.
